I live in Kelowna now. I HAVE to snowboard or ski. It's almost a requirement to live in this town. Ok, I'm kidding but how could I live here and NOT go boarding? The ski hills here are supposedly some of the best in the country. So being the curious person I am and wanting to get back into boarding after a three-year absence, I went boarding on my day off.
The view from the ski lift was pretty sweet. I'm always scared about getting on and off the lifts. I'm scared about getting on because what if I fall off before I get the bar down? And I'm scared about getting off because I'm never good at keeping my balance while getting off the chair.
Yeah, I couldn't manage to actually take a picture of myself with all my gear and stuff so this is actually the only picture evidence that I went. Those are my feet, I swear!
Mmm so pretty! I would come back just for the view itself. Now if I can only manage to learn how to board with better technique so I could move from the bunny slope to the advanced slope...I do need to add though that the bunny slope was by no means "bunny-like". Packed snow and ice and poor turning skills = a sore Julia :(
