Ekmek is the most amazing thing you may ever eat. I first had it at this Greek restaurant in town and honestly I don't remember life before it. It has a thin graham cracker/phyllo crust and then a layer of custard that is then topped with a layer of whipped cream. There are hints of honey and almonds and cinnamon interspersed within the dessert itself...and it's heavenly!
There really are no words to describe just how wonderful this dessert it. I chose to have my birthday dinner at this Greek restaurant JUST SO I could have ekmek for dessert. That day was pretty wicked because someone told the restaurant it was my birthday and they gave me a HUGE slice of ekmek...AND they put a sparkler in it! They really know how to make a girl happy :)
