The Great White North

It's been a long time since I last posted...and there's been a lot of stuff that's happened since I last posted!

Let's see...where to begin...I got kicked out of the US (thanks guys, it's been fun) and found myself back in good ol' Sauga (aka Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA). It had been a long time since I was last home (in my hometown and in Canada) and actually lived at home. I'm not gonna lie, it was an adjustment to live with the parentals again. But it was also really good. I got to hang out with the fams, see old high school friends and live once again where I grew up. And it had a nice nostalgic feeling about it, you know? I knew where the supermarkets were, went to the reliable mall, hung out at the old waterholes (so to speak of course) and it was refreshingly nice.

But duty calls and three weeks ago, I jetted across the country once again to Kelowna, BC to work as a videojournalist for the local Global station out here! Four moves, one year. It's definitely a personal record and it's definitely more than should be done in one year.

But back to Kelowna...it's beautiful! Don't believe me? Look at the picture evidence.

This is part of the promenade from downtown Kelowna to the area where I live.
Yup, I live beside a lake.

This is a view of Kelowna from East Kelowna.

And this would be a view of Lake Okanagan from West Kelowna.

One of the many vineyards in the Okanagan, the wine capital of Canada.

Beautiful city. Fresh produce and veggies. Snowboarding and mountains, sailing and the lake? I could get quite used to this. The last few weeks have been a whirlwind but they have been full of adventure, meeting new people, getting acquainted with a new city and of course, everything has been proudly Canadian.

Tim Horton's. Maple leafs. Mounties. Hockey. Snow. Beavers. Red and white. Poutine. The words "colour", "centre" and of course "eh". It's good to be back home Canada :)
