H2O, who knew?

I think growing up near Lake Ontario gave me a bad impression of living by water. Lake Ontario (for those of you who don't know) is probably one of the worst lakes ever. It's dirty, sits beside lots of industry in Toronto, is probably highly contaminated with highly toxic things...it's just not that nice of a lake.

But then living in SoCal gave me a different impression of what it's like to live beside water. Mind you, there are places where the water is gross, but overall, the beaches are amazing and super fun and I got to make up for all those years where I was water deprived.

Now after living beside Lake Okanagan, I don't think I could ever live in a place that is entirely land-locked. The views are just amazing (the evidence is below!) and the things you can do! Swimming, sailing, para-sailing, kayaking...not that I do all of those of course, but I might just pick them up now that I have that option!
