Back east, there's a lot of "on the DL" and "true say". So what is there out west? Well they say "buddy" instead of "someone/this guy". They have "hooped" for "screwed" and "choked" for "really upset".
Well, I blogged about these new words I had learned since moving here and a local radio station contacted me to come on their morning show and talk about it! I know with my job, I get to be on TV every once in a while...but I was so excited to be on the radio! Radio guys are so cool with their radio voices and big fluffy microphones. It's exciting stuff to be on the radio, you're completely live!
I was pretty nervous before I went on 103.9 The Juice (yes, that's actually the name of the station) but as soon as I started chatting with the hosts (Mark and Jennifer), it was so breezy. It was like having a conversation with two awesome friends and several hundred/thousand of people just happen to be listening in on it! I felt so legit being on the radio. I think everyone needs to try it at least once in their life.
Cross that off my bucket list.
